Matrix Software and Revo Mill are the Number One Choice Among CAD/CAM
Professionals in MJSA Technology Survey

In the May issue of MJSA Journal, the official publication of the Manufacturing Jewelers and Suppliers of America, the results of their MJSA Technology Survey were published. Conducted among the entire MJSA membership and MJSA Journal readers, the survey featured CAD/CAM technology as a primary focus. The survey, and the comprehensive article that accompanied it, provides insight into the widespread role of CAD/CAM in the US jewelry industry and how and what specific technology products are used and preferred. Of these results, Gemvision products are clearly leading the pack in both the CAD and CAM categories...

  • CAD Program Usage - In the survey category of “CAD Program Usage”, Gemvision’s Matrix 3D Design Software was the overwhelming number one choice among CAD/CAM professionals with 43% of respondents using Matrix. To illustrate this strong preference, the number two CAD program only garnered a 9% usage in the survey.
  • Leading CAM Systems - On the “Leading CAM Systems” side, Gemvision’s Revo540 Milling System was again a clear number one choice with 26% of respondents using a Revo mill. For comparison, the next milling solution to be found in the survey only scored 8% usage in the survey.

Also of interest were the results that of CAD users, 88% use CAD to “create custom designs for individual customers”, 62% use CAD to “design jewelry for high volume production”, and 53% use CAD as a “sales tool to highlight strong technical expertise”.
